OK so lemme just start off by saying I’m slightly tipsy on playing around with too many Christmas decorations, jazzy festive tunes and season one of the Gilmore Girls but if there’s anything making me more excited for Christmas right now it is the Revolution 12 Days Of Christmas Storage Chest.

Like I’m srsly swooning over this right now.

Move over beauty advent calendars, because this hefty boy has stormed into my makeup collection and made my December magical.

I mean a girl loves a chocolate calendar but beb, what’s better than having all the beauty buys you need ready for the Christmas party season?

To be honest, this is a hella lot of makeup and individually the makeup in this set would have cost over £80 but GUYS GUYS GUYS we can buy it now for only £35 in Superdrug.

Yeah I know right, shocked emoji and all that.

The box contains:
1x Eye Primer
1x Aqua Priming Base
1x Strobe Cream
1x Lipgloss Set
1x Pro Fixing Spray
1x Blush Palette
1x Strobe Palette
1x Brow Palette
2x Eyeshadow Palettes
1x Ultra Strobe Stick
1x Ultra Contour Stick

I haven’t as yet tried everything in the chest, but my absolute babe out of this set is the eyeshadows; I’ve been after autumnal shades for a while now but every time I wander over to the Mac counter in Cribbs Causeway I’m like  WHY OH WHY Mac is your warm neutral palette £50 ffs.

Anyway these shades are fantastic, they’re super pigmented with a blend of neutral and bold colours, plus they’re all matte and AH GOD I die <3<3<3

The blush was a palette that I didn’t really think that I would get into but ohemgee why did I not realise that I needed multiple shades of blush depending on what I did with my base and how heavy I contoured before?

LOL probably because I wish that I was an expert but really I just make it up as I’m doing my makeup and think meh that’s fine, no one at work will notice anyway.

If I’m being truthfully honest the strobe palette is, oh what’s the word, commendable? IDK OK I super hyped it up in my mind when I first got it out of the storage box.

absolutely adore the different shades of the strobe to be used on different parts of the face and I’m a fan of it’s creamy texture but IDK, I’m used to Revolutions powder highlighter (Shop here) which I think has a bit more of a dramatic effect and BOY does that thing stay on all day.

Buuuut I guess that’s just works for me, but I can tell someone out there is going to really appreciate that sweet, sweet palette.

The brow kit is absolutely gorgeous and literally contains everything that you would need to do get those brows tamed – powder, tint, enhancing wax, sealing wax, highlighter AND strobe.

I have to admit that I’ve got into a bit of a routine with my eyebrow pencil and brow mascara but I was really surprised at how using powder and wax can change my whole look. I think this would be perfect for days when I’m going for that hair up, cosy jumper and a relaxed makeup look but DAMN did my eyebrows look effortless when I tried this.

Last of, the liquid lipsticks OR SO I ASSUMED these are actually quite thick lip glosses. I really appreciated these, I know there’s been a bit of a mixed reaction to these over the blogger sphere but if you were after my opinion, I think these are really well pigmented and last pretty much all morning.

LOL I have this really bad habit of rolling my lips especially when I’m thinking hard, so tbh as much as I love liquid lipsticks I’m like ah man after 2 hours they’ve come off again. NOT WITH THESE BABES.

Oh but FYI, the colours aren’t very intuitive so as much as I think they’re great I can only really wear the end colour because hello practically having foundation lips for the lighter shades.

I will always give you my honest thoughts, so even though I thought some of the items in this set were ABSOLUTELY DIVINE whilst others are just fine… is this worth the money? Absolutely, there’s a load of make up in here that I would have bought individually that would have cost more than the set itself. Do I think this would be an amazing present? Definitely, I have a couple of gal pals that are super into their beauty and tbh would have bought this set for them.

Have you fellas tried the 12 Days Of Christmas Chest, or even any of the Revolution makeup?

Ooh and btw you can shop the post right here

Happy shopping chums.
