I know, I know.
That joyous, festive period is over and that over-bearing cycle of sleep-work-gym-repeat has begun all over again and DEAR GOD someone please tell me Christmas 2017 is coming around sometime soon? PUR-LEASE?
But you guys, I found a cure for those January blues.
It’ll make you forget about that huge pile of work you’ve got mounting up on your desk and whisk you back into the land of all things cheerful and sweet with a splash of spice, even if it is for like, 5 minutes before you’re like DAMN IT JANUARY, I forgot you’re here again.
What is the cure? Well pals, it’s a bloody good cocktail.
First off, I just wanna say that this is pretty similar to Irish Cream but hello heavenly cocktail gods, this is probably the best I’ve ever tried. The recipe comes from the Tequila Mockingbird Book which is so utterly adorable it’s earnt a space on my beloved bookshelf. BTW the recipes are mainly in ounces and cups but there’s a handy conversion guide at the end of the book (Shop here).
It’s dead easy to make, delicious and seriously packs a punch; perfect for parties or y’know, sat with an open book and a huge pair of comfy socks for all of those hygge feels (note – sassy pinky wiggling whilst sipping is mandatory).
I N G R E D I E N T S
30 ml light rum (I used Bacardi)
15ml coffee liqueur (Kahlua or Tia Maria)
60ml single cream
Ground cinnamon or nutmeg, to taste

Ok, all you have to do is pour the rum and the coffee liqueur over ice in a tumbler. Pour the cream on top, give it a little mix and add a sprinkle of spice.
Now, drink to your hearts content and be safe in the knowledge that Christmas is only about 350 days away you nostalgic cuties.
